Hi, I’m Samantha! I am a stay at home mom of boys who blogs not only as a hobby, but to help other parents like you! I had my first son Mason when I was just 17, two months before my 18th birthday. His biological father didn’t want to be involved. So, I started my journey through motherhood as a single mom. On June 11th 2018 I met a man through social media, we went out on a date together the following day.. And never left each others side. 5 months later I fell pregnant again with his babies. Yes, TWINS! I was so scared but excited all at the same time. Him as well.
At 13 weeks we got the most devastating news. Baby B had been diagnosed with anencephaly. A neural tube disorder that causes parts of the brain and skull to be absent. Unfortunately, babies diagnosed with this do not survive. We were asked if we wanted to terminate the pregnancy, but decided against it. We decided together to carry both babies to term. It has been an emotional rollercoaster figuring out parenting a toddler, preparing for a newborn, and also preparing to mourn the loss of a baby who hasn’t even been born yet. Through this journey I have learned so much and that’s why I have decided to create this blog. To help other parents through the journey of parenthood.
I am an open book. I am honest, kind, and probably the most nonjudgmental person you’ll meet. I hope you enjoy the blog and if you ever need specific advice don’t hesitate to reach out!
-The honest mom, Samantha
